Preseason Match – South Dublin Lions (Combined SRRFC/Tallaght RFC Team)

The South Dublin Lions, a combined rugby team made up of players from SRRFC and Tallaght RFC, have been back in training and are ready to showcase their skills. Their preseason clash against Seapoint is set for Sunday, September 10, at 11:00 AM at Heavey Technology Park. Preseason matches offer a great opportunity for young players to build teamwork, fitness, and strategy before the official season kicks off.

Familiar Faces Strengthen the Youth Rugby Team

This season, our rugby teams will benefit from the expertise of some well-known SRRFC members. We are pleased to welcome Gavin O’Neill, who joins the U13 coaching staff, and Eoghan Kennedy, the Head Coach of Little Ruckers, who will now also support the U14s. Their experience will be invaluable in guiding and developing our young players.

Join Our Youth Rugby Team – Recruitment is Key!

To ensure the continued success of our teams, recruitment is essential. We ask all club members and parents to help spread the word, mention the club in class WhatsApp groups, on social media, and within your local community. Bringing in new players will strengthen the team and provide more opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills.

Celebrating Our Players’ Achievements

Finally, we want to congratulate many of our players who have moved on to secondary school this autumn. Their hard work and dedication, both on and off the field, are commendable. We look forward to seeing them continue their rugby journey with us.

With an exciting season ahead, we invite everyone to be part of the journey and support our youth rugby team. Let’s make this season one to remember!
