Men Rugby Captains – Leading the Teams
1st XV Men Rugby Captain – Andy Stein
Stillorgan-Rathfarnham RFC’s 1st XV men’s rugby captain, Andy Stein, is a determined leader with years of men’s rugby experience. Originally from Old Wesley RFC, Andy took a break before returning in 2018. Having played in multiple positions, from hooker to centre, he now thrives in the back row, where his leadership will be crucial for the rugby club’s success this season.
2nd XV Men Rugby Captain – Eoin Fitzgerald
A key figure in men rugby Dublin, Eoin Fitzgerald brings experience and leadership to Stillorgan-Rathfarnham RFC’s 2nd XV team. Originally from Kildare, Eoin has a strong rugby background, playing for Greystones RFC and Terenure College RFC. After a break from rugby while living in London, he found his way back into men’s rugby clubs in Dublin, where he quickly became a key player.
Men’s Rugby Coaches and Club Management
Director of Senior Men Rugby – Colm McKay
The men rugby coaching team at Stillorgan-Rathfarnham RFC is led by Colm McKay, who was part of the club’s Metro 5 league-winning team in 2019/20. Now retired due to injury, Colm remains deeply involved in shaping the club’s future as the Director of Senior Men’s Rugby. His knowledge of men’s rugby club management and player development will be key this season.
Senior Men Rugby Coach & Player – Eoin Murphy
Men’s rugby coaching at SRRFC gets a boost from Eoin Murphy, a former Clontarf RFC player with 16+ years of experience. As a player-coach, Eoin provides rugby training and mentorship, while also offering on-field leadership as a utility back.
“There is a brilliant group of players at the club and a strong community spirit that connects all levels of rugby, from youth to senior teams. With the right support, we can achieve great things this season.”
